If you want to meet with us, all the two of us, just come to the Global Game Jam in Turin today!
We’ll give a talk titled "Have fun!" today, focusing on indie games, freedom, indie development, and how you -must- have fun when developing games.
Title: Have fun!
The game industry is surrounded by AAA titles and big publishers, but the indie movement during latest years is rewriting the game rules, having a key role as source of innovative ideas and experimental games, that meet the support of gamers. A piece of our story, our experience as indie developers and why 48 hours and a Game Jam theme can give more freedom than you can think.
Mauro Fanelli and Andrea Gellato are the 100% of MixedBag, an indie studio focused on making video games on own IPs for tablets, mobile, consoles and PC. Mauro worked as publishing manager in the video game field; he founded and directed “Alternative-reality.com”, one of the first Internet portal for video games in Italy, before crossing the other side of the “barricade” and trying to make games.
Andrea was a graphic artist and web designer; finally at 40 years old he understood what he really wanted to do in his life.
